About LABMED

Donna Harrison

Donna lives in Mississippi and is currently owned by a Border Terrier named Cider. Donna is a retired teacher's assistant. She is legal guardian for Ryan, a teenager with cerebral palsy. Ryan has lived with Donna for several years now and he loves dogs too. There are no Labs at this time. Coal, Donna and Ryan's much-loved Labby boy, died of dialated cardiomyopathy in 2006 at the age of 12.

Donna helps with rescue by transporting dogs with Canine Underground Railroad. She is C.U.R. Stationmaster #523. She is co-owner and moderator for two Search and Rescue Dog lists owned by Liz Marr, and she is list-owner for one of the LABMED lists. Donna is also an Amateur Radio operator with a General Class license. She is the Emergency Coordinator for two counties in Mississippi and leads the local Amateur Radio Emergency Services group. Hobbies include talking to people around the world on Ham radio and spinning dog hair into yarn on her spinning wheel. There is not much time for hobbies these days.
