Heather Bowden, LABMED Fundraising Chair

Heather's rescue Lab, Hershey

Heather and her husband John live in a suburb of Dallas, Texas with their 14 year old son, Christopher, and 2 Labs, Harley and Hershey. Heather owns and runs a small graphics/desk top publishing home-based business and John is meaningfully employed by Nortel as a Project Manager.

Heather enjoys gardening, needlework, rollerblading, working on the computer, and reading (History). In her spare moments she tries to improve her fluency in the Scots Gaelic language. She wears many LABMED hats, but is usually found concentrating on LABMED's many projects as the current Secretary.

Harley, a 8 year old chocolate Labrador Retriever, came to live with the Bowden's at 8 weeks from Avonlea Kennels in Cleveland, Ohio. Hershey, a rescue, is from Missouri and is also a chocolate Labrador. Harley enjoys running frantically along side while Heather rollerblades, makes sure all the bathtubs in the house are dry, and chases birds from his backyard. Hershey enjoys keeping Harley firmly in line, making sure the counters are food free, and slobbering on strangers.
