About LABMEDSue EricksonSue has two passions in life, her Labrador Retrievers and quilting. Sometimes she even combines the two creating quilts with a Labrador theme. Fellow dog enthusiasts joke that she knows every quilt shop in the west, as she often combines road trips to dog events with fabric shopping. Sue and her husband, Gary have been seriously into Labs for since 1994. They have bred several litters, with the goal of producing Labradors that are not only loving, cherished members of a family, but also Labs that are beautiful, have the ability to be hunting companions and are capable of participating in any and all activities the family chooses. From the first litter they have Corky. She is formally known as Can CH Grace Under the Big Sky, CD, SH. She certainly is living up to their goals. Sue was bitten by the Agility bug in 1997 and today trains and competes with several of her dogs. Maggie, a senior citizen yellow has recently retired from competition at the age of 12 years. She still enjoys a small amount of training and showing what a senior dog can do when they stay in shape! Gary trains and competes in AKC Hunt Tests and Field Trials. All the dogs that live in the Erickson household are couch potatoes and laplabs, but they also participate in showing, obedience, agility, and hunt tests. The two older dogs have earned the Versatility and All-Around Labrador awards from the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association. Sue and Gary are currently graduate students at the University of Denver. Sue is taking computer science courses and Gary, non-practicing Veterinarian, is working on his MSF (Master in Finance). It's not only the Labradors in the Erickson household that have lots of initials behind their name! |
