About LABMEDSusan JenkinsSusan and her husband, Lewis, have owned Labradors for over twenty years. During this time Susan has trained and competed with them in obedience, here in the United States and in Canada, earning both American and Canadian UD degrees as well as other titles and special awards. This interest lead them to buy their trainer's obedience school, Papp's Dog Services, when Jack and Sally Papp retired this year after over forty years of training dog owners to train their dogs. The Papp's name will be retained thus keeping the name as well as the excellent reputation, and most of the excellent staff. Susan is incorporating her love for training, teaching and competition into a profession. With their newest Lab, Caleb, she has expanded her interest by showing in conformation, obedience and rally. Currently Caleb is a multiple High In Trial dog (the obedience equivalent of Best In Show) and is pointed towards his championship. You will also often find Susan working the Oxyfresh booth as well as selling dog show scrapbook items at area dog shows, too. Lew and Susan are active members of GateWay Worship Center, in Akron, Ohio. Susan is also director of GateWay Bible Training Center and has her Masters in Biblical Studies/Theology from Luther Rice Seminary in Georgia. Lew is currently semi-retired, but don't worry, Susan will keep him busy with the business! In Lew's spare time he enjoys computer consulting, programming, designing web sites, golfing and writing. In Susan's spare time she enjoys training Caleb, cross-stitching, going for walks and cooking. Together they enjoy packing up the dog(s) and traveling wherever the dog show and golf course say COME.
