~In Memory of Sandy Marie~
July 12, 1995 - March 01, 2005

I adopted sandy through lab rescue in September 1999. Sandy
was a product of bad breeding. At the age of 1 year she had hip
and elbow surgery and by the age of 3, she went completely blind.
The girls who bought sandy at a pet store loved her dearly but she
had allergies so bad, they could not cure her. So they listed her
with Lab Rescue and I adopted her. She came to me blind and soon
learned her way around my house and yard. Her allergies
cleared up and she was a remarkable Lab.

I lost her today to kidney failure. I will always miss Sandy, her
sweet nature and her amazing ability to get around and be happy
in spite of her blindness.
