Your cherished photos transformed into a work of art. Using the digital equivalent to a hand-held paintbrush, artist Karen Derrico utilizes advanced painting software which accurately emulates the brush strokes, colors and textures of traditional mediafrom rich luxurious oils to vivid flowing water colorsenabling her to express her artistic vision of creating unique hand-painted portraits from photographs.
The 8 x 10 inch portrait will be on your choice of heavy watercolor paper or artist canvas, using high quality archival inks. The finished work will be set in a Lucite frame to ship, and then the recipient can pick a unique permanent frame or keep it in the Lucite frame if they so choose.

Tickets will be sold through our web site from April 20 through June 4, 2004. Deadline for ticket orders paid by check or money order will be June 3, 2004. You can buy single tickets for $3.00. We are also offering blocks of tickets - 6 for $15.00 and 11 for $25.00. Tickets sold through the website will be "virtual tickets"; the order confirmation is your "ticket" and we will add the stub with your name and phone number to the drawing. If you purchase the tickets and your name is drawn prior to us receiving your check or other form of payment, the prize will be held until payment is received. We invite you to use our secure server to process your credit card or PayPal payment option. You may also choose to send a check or money order to provide payment. The winner will need to send a good quality photograph of their choosing to artist Karen Derrico via email (preferred) or snail mail. If sending by email, the photo must be in jpeg format at the highest resolution possible. Karen will provide more detailed instructions if necessary. The finished portrait will be delivered within 2-4 weeks from the time Karen receives the photograph.
