The Quilting BeeLake Michigan Dreams![]() Artist:Barbara McNutt Shadow is a recipient of the generous support of LABMED. He had surgery on his ears (3 times) in the fall of 1998. His story is on the Success Stories page of LABMED's web site. Shadow suffered from calcified ear canals, the result of long-standing untreated ear infections. The treatment was tough on the guy and his new family! We adopted Shadow in October of 1998. Shadow's vet calls him "high maintenance". It's true, but he is also a wonderful big, silly boy. Shadow has had several health problems, and suffers from allergies. But, he is a happy fellow. He loves food more than any dog I have ever met. His "food alarm" goes off at both 5:30 am and 5:30 pm. He does not understand the meaning of "sleeping in" on the weekend! The quilt block shows Shadow on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. It is one of our favorite places. The dog in the sailboat does not represent any Labby that I know. Perhaps she is a Labby in my future. |
