The Quilting Bee

Artist's comments: My daughter is one of the LABMED Board Members, Lori Lewis...and because of my love for quilting, AND my love for my grand-dogs, I made these two quilt squares.

When visiting my daughter, I have some down time with "the girls" while Lori has to work.... Drew is the easy one, pretty mellow, and loves to just hang out. Piper is the mischievous one. When Lori warned me not to leave anything too close to the edge of the counter, I didn't think too much about it. Until I left a container of dry soup mix too close and Piper dumped it all over her head! I'm MUCH more aware of "counter surfing" now a days!

I sincerely hope that LABMED is able to raise much needed funds during this exciting quilt project. Looking forward to NEXT year's quilt already!!
