Success StoriesAbby, May 1999
Abby is a little yellow two-year-old found lying in a parking lot with traffic going around her. She was weak, dehydrated and tick infested. Her rescuer says it seemed like she didn't care if she
lived or died, but Abby is going to live! Her rescuer took her home and to the vet, who discovered that Abby was heartworm positive. LABMED funded her heartworm treatment and she is recovering in her
new home. Latest reports are that Abby is doing great and has lots of energy. Her rescuer and now permanent owner says, "She loves being near people and is quickly taking control of the house. She
sleeps with us, follows us from room to room and is just a complete joy to have around. We can't leave glasses on the coffee tables anymore because she has a tail that swats like a bat, but other
than that she is fantastic." LABMED is thrilled to have been able to help Abby have her second chance to act like a normal Lab! |
