Success Stories

Alexandria, October 1997

Alexandria Alexandria's story is not unusual for an abandoned Lab. She is a pretty, 4 year old yellow female found in an Ohio shelter by a woman who is part of a Collie rescue organization. Alexandria was adopted out once, but returned because she was heartworm positive. Once again, a disease that is easy to prevent, but hard to treat, was preventing a wonderful Lab from finding a permanent home. Her rescuer contacted the Labrador rescue person, who arranged for Alexandria receive medical treatment for her heartworms. LABMED was happy to help cover the expenses for the heartworm treatment necessary get this girl on the road to a happy ending.
