Ally, June 2002

AllyAlly, a two year old black female Lab, was rescued from a local humane society shelter by Packerdogs Lab Rescue in Appleton, WI. This gentle young Lab was in considerable pain due to hip dysplasia, with significant arthritis in both joints. She was immediately given pain medication, and an FHO surgery was scheduled as soon as possible for the worst hip.

The outlook for Ally's recovery is good, although she may need surgery on the other hip down the road. While Ally will never become a canine athlete, she will be able to lead an active life and of course will be a wonderful couch potato! LABMED was contacted and we were happy to be able to help fund Ally's surgery.

Ally has charmed everyone she met in the course of her rescue, and has proven to be such a well-behaved dog that several foster homes were vying for the honor of caring for her as she recovers from her surgery. Ally will make a wonderful companion for some lucky family when she is ready to romp and play!
