Success Stories
Apollo, July 1999
Apollo is a 2 year old black male Labrador who came to the attention of the Midwest Labrador
Retriever Rescue, Inc. via another rescue organization called Strays Halfway House. He was probably just one of many black Labs that needed homes, but Apollo was so sweet, calm and good natured, even
as a two year old, that he caught people's attention. Midwest Labrador Retriever Rescue took Apollo in and will help him to find a permanent home. But before Apollo would be able to go to his new
home, he needed some special medical treatment. As is the case with so many strays in so many parts of the U.S., Apollo tested positive for heartworms. With the help of LABMED, this young Illinois
rescue group saved Apollo and is preparing him for a new life.
