Success StoriesBailey3, March, 2000![]() The friendly lab was neutered and microchipped and got a thorough vet check up. As happens so often with strays, Bailey was heartworm positive. Since Bailey was quite large, the vet also ran a thyroid panel to find out if Bailey was hypothyroid. The test results were normal; Bailey was just overweight. He also had a minor ear infection. Since Bailey's overall health was good, the vet recommended treatment for the heartworm infection to be started as soon as possible. LRRI needed a bit of help paying for that treatment and they applied to LABMED. We were glad to be able to help this big cuddly Lab and quickly decided to fund. Bailey's treatment and recovery time were uneventful and he is doing very well. |
