Boss, May 2002

Boss In spring of 2002, just one day before he was to be euthanized in an animal control shelter in Georgia, Boss, under 2 years old, got a break, thanks to the Georgia Lab Rescue (GLR). GLR found a foster home for this lovable, hundred-pound, male black Lab, giving him a second chance for a happy life in a good home. Shortly after his rescue, however, Boss was diagnosed with heartworm infection. But with a good prognosis, a veterinarian willing to grant a rescue discount, and an applicant who sought help from several funders, Boss had a lot going for him.

LABMED was one of the potential funders from whom the applicant sought help. LABMED responded to the call for help by contributing to Boss' heartworm treatment, which consisted of Immiticide supplemented by good nutrition, rest, and tender loving care. Everyone's help made a difference not only in Boss' life, but also in the lives of those who will be lucky enough to receive Boss' affection and devotion in the years to come!
