Brody2, November 2002
When Brody's rescuers found him at a local gas station in Michigan, this orphaned male chocolate Lab was missing hair because of hot spots, and he was filthy and flea ridden. Despite calls to the local humane society, ads placed in local papers, and calls made to all persons who had placed ads or responded to theirs, the rescuers were unable to find anyone who would admit knowing anything about Brody.
Weighing 90 pounds and thought to be about 4 years old, Brody was found to be positive for heartworms. With a prognosis from the veterinarian that treatment would allow this friendly Lab to lead a long and healthy life, his rescuers requested and were granted a discount, paid part of the fees themselves, and appealed to LABMED to cover the balance. LABMED was happy to contribute and be part of the team that gave Brody his second chance for a good life in a forever home!
