Cappy, December, 2001

Cappy is a chocolate Lab girl only three years old. Her owner was dying of cancer and had to give her up. Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption took her in. Unfortunately, Cappy had not been on heart worm preventative and was living in Georgia, where heartworms are very prevalent. Cappy tested positive for heartworms.

LABMED helped to fund Cappy's heartworm treatment. She recovered and is now a happy, healthy Lab.
