Success Stories

Chinook, March 2002

Chinook Chinook is a handsome yellow Lab that was picked up as a stray in Arkansas. He was unclaimed by his owners. A volunteer from Helping Hands for Little Paws rescued him and took him to he vet. This young fellow was tested for heartworms. The test came back positive. The rescue group applied for help with Chinook's heartworm treatment, as they already had two other dogs to treat and funds were stretched thin.

LABMED helped to give Chinook a second chance by funding his heartworm treatment.

Update, July 2002

Chinook was a wonderful dog and we were so lucky to receive help. We told the people that adopted him and everyone we met how LABMED helped and how they were such a lifesaver. Chinook has been adopted and is dearly loved by his new owners; he truly was a success story. When he finally went up for adoption We had 3 homes wanting him! He is sooo spoiled now :)
