Conner, January 2008
Conner wandered onto a farm in Mississippi with his left front foot missing. We'll never know how he was injured, though the vet suspects he was caught in a trap or perhaps hit by a car. The only option was to amputate his leg. The shelter that took Conner in applied to LABMED for funding, and with assistance, he received treatment and recovered quickly. Like many dogs, Conner adapted very well to life on three legs; next, it was on to a loving new home.
