When this female yellow lab was just 3 months old and only 14 pounds, she was thrown out the window of a truck, onto a Louisiana highway in front of a car whose driver could not ignore her plight. The driver of the car got out and picked up Ellie. Then she immediately drove her to a veterinarian, who performed surgery on Ellie's broken leg, which required a plate.

Ellie was most fortunate to have an "angel" close by when she was savagely abused. And fortunately for Ellie, her "angel" knew immediately that she wanted to keep her and provide this young Lab with a wonderful forever home. With a veterinarian gracious enough to grant a rescue discount and a rescuer willing to take responsibility and contribute to Ellie's medical fees, LABMED was happy to help with the balance.
