Emma2, April 2004

Emma2

Emma is a one year old yellow female Lab that was rescued by Lab Rescue OK. When Emma was rescued, she had a large knot on her hip and was limping and very lethargic. It appeared that Emma had either been hit by a car or had fallen from a vehicle, injuring her hip. The knot on her hip was actually tissue formed in an attempt to stabilize the joint.

With financial assistance from LABMED, Emma's hip was repaired surgically. The top of the bone was shaved in order to have the joint fit back together properly and Emma made a good recovery. This pretty young Lab has been adopted and is now living happily and safely in her new home.
