Success Stories

Garth, December 2003

As written by Garth's rescuerer:

Garth

Garth was found running as a stray and was brought in to TAPS Animal Shelter in Pekin, IL. Upon being tested for heartworms, he was found to be positive. Funding from LABMED helped us pay for his treatment.

After his initial treatment at the vet's, Garth returned to the shelter and was put up on our website. He was seen on there by a very nice gentleman, who came to the shelter to meet him. After spending some time with this wonderful boy, the gentleman knew that Garth needed to become a part of his family.

Garth

We finalized the adoption, but Garth had to stay with us for a follow-up treatment and his neutering. After these were completed, Garth was able to go home to his new family just in time for the holidays.

We want to thank LABMED for their part in helping get this big, lovable boy adopted.
