Success StoriesGeorge, January 2002One of our first dogs for 2002 was George, a 5 year old California stray. One day he strayed into some bad luck: he was hit by a car and his leg was broken. But sometimes bad luck can lead to good luck and George soon found himself in the hands of CCLRR, who contacted LABMED for assistance with George's injuries. In addition to the broken leg, George had nasty abrasions on his head. We readily voted to fund George's treatment with Central California Labrador retriever Rescue (CCLRR) covering part of the cost themselves. The vet performing the surgery put in a bone plate and got good alignment and good stabilization of the leg. He claims that George's joints look good and that he should recover completely. He also cleaned up the abrasions on George's head. This nice yellow boy is recovering and will be looking for his forever home soon. |
