Godiva, February 2002

gODIVAGodiva is a young chocolate Lab that was surrendered to a shelter in New Mexico. Her previous owner had other dogs that had repeatedly attacked Godiva. Godiva came down with autoimmune hemolytic anemia. The treating veterinarian thought this condition might have been caused by the attacks on this gentle Lab girl. She had bite wounds all over her body.

LABMED helped to fund Godiva's treatment and she recovered enough to go to a foster home in Arizona. Her blood count was at 8 (supposed to be a minimum of 45)when she was admitted into the hospital. It went up to 28 when she was moved into rescue with AZ lab rescue and was last reported as normal.
