HopAlong, August 2005
HopAlong is the Buddy Arnold Memorial Fund Dog for August 2005.
HopAlong and his brother were found by dog-lovers in Illinois, wandering stray. HopAlong favored his rear leg, and the atrophied muscles indicated an old injury. His rescuers were able to open their hearts and their home to foster HopAlong, but they were not able to pay for the surgery "Hops" needed to repair what turned out to be a dislocated hip. A local veterinarian offered a generous discount, and LABMED was able to pay for HopAlong's surgery.
