Success Stories

Hunter5, December 2002

One of the last dogs LABMED funded in 2002, Hunter is a friendly, black, 6 year old male who found his way into the Southwest Pennsylvania Retriever Rescue Organization (SPARRO) after being surrendered by his owner. Hunter came with a problem. He had a small cyst-like growth on his eyelid that his vet and rescuer believed might be cancerous. The vet felt, however, that once this growth was removed, Hunter would be just fine and would live a long, healthy life.

LABMED voted to fund Hunter's eye surgery. The vet has reported that all of the growth was removed and Hunter should have no more problems. Hunter will be looking for a new home soon!
