Jack7, October 2004
Jack7 is the October Buddy
Arnold Memorial Fund Dog
A rescue group pulled Jack from a shelter to save him from being euthanized. He was young, but suffered from an ear infection and a post-neutering infection, and he had an orange-sized lump on his side. Jack's foster mom paid for medication to treat the infections, and applied to LABMED for help with surgical costs to remove and diagnose the lump. Unfortunately, the lump turned out to be a sarcoma, but with an excellent quality of life and the potential to live many happy, healthy years (a sarcoma can return quickly, or not at all), Jack had two potential adopters interested in opening their hearts to him when he completed his recovery.
