Java, May 2003

Java

Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Rescue found Java unclaimed in a shelter and promptly removed the 5 year old chocolate male from this stressful environment and placed him in a foster home. Java was delighted by the change in his circumstances and rewarded his rescuers with a tail that was happily wagging once again.

A trip to the vet in Lowellville, OH, turned up some medical problems that needed to be addressed before Java could be placed in a new home. Java had severe gum disease - his gums were infected and receding and a number of his teeth had exposed roots. A thorough cleaning of his teeth was needed as well as the extraction of 4 infected teeth. He also had an anal polyp that needed surgical removal.

LABMED was happy to assist in paying for the medical and surgical treatment that would restore Java to good health. This friendly and personable Lab will soon be ready for a new home and will be a great asset to any family that chooses him!
