Jimmie, September 2001

Jimmie is a 6 year old black male Lab from Pennsylvania who was found tied to a fence. By the condition in which Jimmie was found, it appeared he was not very well taken care of. He was covered with ticks and was very dirty and stinky. Jimmie's finder turned him over to Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Rescue.

During the routine vet exam LELRR gives to all of their recues, Jimmie proved to be heartworm positive. The vet was also worried about possible exposure to Lyme's disease due to the tick infestation. He recommended two treatments of Immiticide for the heartworm, and Tetracycline for the possible exposure to Lyme's disease. LELR asked LABMED to help fund Jimmie's treatment and we were happy to do so.

Once Jimmie has completed his medical treatment, he will be ready to join a new family who can give him the love and care that he deserves.
