Success StoriesJoe, March, 2000
Joe was a stray and numerous attempts were made to locate the owner. At 103 lbs., he couldn't have been on the streets for long. A collar with tags or a microchip could have been his ticket home, but he had neither. His owner was never located. Joe's rescuer was told to get a heartworm check. The results came back positive! Another homeless Lab with heartworms. The Wesley Chapel vet gave Joe a good prognosis. Joe was on the heavy side, so the cost for treatment was high. This is where LABMED stepped in to help out. Joe relaxed in a temporary foster home after his heartworm treatment. After a month of R ∓ R, he went to his forever home. Two paws up for Joe and LABMED! |
