You are familiar with Lily Tomlin, Lilly Pulitzer, Peace Lilies, Water Lilies, Tiger Lilies, and Lilies of the Valley, but today I want to introduce you to Lily, the 6 year old female yellow Lab. Lily was hit by a car in the state of Arkansas. The Animal Control personnel picked her up but no one ever tried to find this 72 pound bundle of love.
Lily's left eye was injured in the accident, becoming infected in the socket, necessitating immediate removal of the eye and tear glands.
Animal Rescue Fund of Arkansas was involved with Lily's care and contacted LABMED, who had helped them with a previously rescued Lab. The vet treating Lily gave a large discount for the surgery and gave a great prognosis for Lily's future.
With LABMED's help, surgery was performed and Lily enjoys life once again.
