Lori, March 2004

Lori

This sweet young black female Lab was left in the 24 hour drop-off room at the Humane Society of Kent County, MD. The shelter workers noticed right away that Lori had a prolapsed vagina and she was promptly taken to the vet for an emergency spay surgery. This was necessary to prevent infection or an injury that could cause severe bleeding.

Lori recovered well from her surgery and was placed on a course of antibiotics to ensure proper healing. Once the shelter has completed their program of vaccinations, heartworm testing and temperament evaluation, Lori will be ready to find a new family to love. LABMED was pleased to be able to help fund the cost of Lori's emergency surgery.
