Success StoriesMinnie2, August, 2007Minnie2 is the Buddy Arnold Memorial Fund Dog for August, 2007.
Sweet little Minnie was left in a shelter's overnight drop box. After a holding period, a local rescue group took her in, but she soon came down with Parvo, a serious and highly-lethal illness. Puppies with parvo require intensive veterinary care, including subcutaneous fluids, anti-vomiting and anti-diarrhea medications, antiviral serum and antibiotics. LABMED helped pay for Minnie's care, and she has made a complete recovery. Soon after her treatment, she was adopted into a new home, with a Labrador sister named Maggie, a cat named Murphy, and a fenced yard for romping. |
