Nellie, May 2004
Nellie is a five year old yellow Lab mix that was relinquished to a California shelter by her owner. She was rescued from the shelter by a kind person who usually rescues Corgis but couldn't leave Nellie sitting depressed and ill in her cage.
Nellie was diagnosed with dry eye and severe allergies. Her ears were inflamed and she had several hot spots. She also seemed to be running a fever and may have injured her back. LABMED was happy to help pay for the medical treatment needed to restore Nellie to good health so that she could find a new, permanent home.
