Peanut, February, 2002

Peanut Peanut is a young, chocolate Lab that found himself in the custody of a rescuer in South Carolina. He had a broken tibia and fractured femoral head from an old injury when he was rescued. The vet removed the damaged femoral head and repaired the tibia with a plate, but Peanut had considerable muscle atrophy. Physical therapy was needed after the surgery when it was determined that Peanut was still not using his leg. LABMED helped to fund the surgery for Peanut giving him his second chance. Peanut's rescuer was committed to helping him recover and find his special forever family.
