Romeo2, June 2004

Romeo2

Romeo is a two year old chocolate lab who was a stray at Clay County Animal Shelter in Brazil, IN. Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue saved this little gentleman. When it was discovered that Romeo was heartworm positive, LABMED was contacted to see if they could provide some funding toward Romeo's treatment.

Romeo is one of the many Lab and Lab-mixes whose heartworm treatment was funded with help from LABMED. Romeo is one of the lucky ones who can look forward to a healthy life as long as he receives heartworm preventive on a regular basis. Heartworm prevention is easy, but the treatment if the dog gets heartworm, can be very hard on a dog.

Please help us to educate dog owners about heartworm disease. Not everyone is aware of how life-threatening heartworms can be and how EASY it is to prevent them. Administering heartworm preventative on a regular basis is part of responsible dog ownership.
