Success StoriesRosie, December 2002A friendly little five month old yellow Lab puppy was rescued from a shelter by Central California Labrador Retriever Rescue (CCLRR). Unfortunately, Rosie had contracted kennel cough while at the shelter, and in her malnourished condition, the kennel cough turned into pneumonia. Rosie remained hospitalized at a vet clinic while she was treated with antibiotics and supportive care. Although she did not respond well at first to the treatment, with further tests and a change of antibiotics Rosie finally turned the corner and was well on the road to recovery. LABMED and Labrador Life Line contributed to funding Rosie's extensive hospital stay. The vet clinic provided many discounted services and Rosie's foster home also contributed to paying the bills. Now all Rosie needs is a family to call her own! |
