Trooper4, April 2004
Trooper is a 4 or 5 year old black male Lab that was adopted from Brookhaven Animal Shelter in NY. His new family took him right away to their vet because Trooper had a nasty cough that was making him uncomfortable. Trooper was found to have kennel cough and bronchitis. In spite of the prompt treatment that he received, Trooper developed pneumonia.
With antibiotics and lots of supportive care, Trooper gradually regained his health. He quickly made friends with both the chocolate Lab and the young baby in his new family. LABMED was asked to help with the costs of treating Trooper and we were happy to participate in providing a second chance for this friendly and loving Lab.
