Success Stories

Wally, August 1997

WallyThis sad black boy was found chained to a concrete pad, suffering from extreme starvation (at least 40 pounds underweight), anemia, enlarged lymph nodes, and a white blood count "off the chart." The starvation had caused such stress to Wally's body that the source of the enlarged lymph nodes and elevated white blood count could not be determined; he had also lost most of the hair from his legs and rump.

LABMED assisted the local rescue organization with funds for the special food and vitamins he needed due to the starvation. He is now on the road to recovery.
